How do I get the alarm sound off the tv set and view programs again?

I have an old Hitachi tv set, I was using a digi box with it. I have somehow turned it off setting the timer or buzzer and that is all I get when I switch it on. a Buzzer/alarm sound. it is not the tv itself definitely some sort of alarm?I have an remote Control but that is all nothing to adjust on the actual set.
can anyone tell me if I can get it back in use.
I like the set and don’t want to throw it out?

You MIGHT be off channel….that gives you a scrambled picture / No picture and an ALARM sound because you are off channel.

Set the TV set to channel 3 and see if it goes away….try channel 4 lastly.

You should have the ability to bring up the volume bar or the menu if the TV set is OK…if not then your alarm may be a short on the deflection board that is causing the TV’s power supply to WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee every time it’s turned on….

And that normally requires a TV tech to fix it….
