Audio Sound

Which game do you think has the best Audio/Sound effects?
I’m writing an artical for my A-Level Sound engineering course, i have to pic a game that has ‘the best audio’
Can you tell me which game you think has the best audio/sound and why you think that?
Many thanks in advance!
I would have to say Half Life 2.
Some of the best sound sound engineering I have ever heard. the sound echoes and feels every room and open space differently depending if there are or aren’t objects in and according to the structure of the space as well.
Great HD sound.
Completely changed the way you played the game, because the sound was so good, you could use it to pinpoint your enemies or other threats.
