I want to make green sugar crystal to look like supermans kryptonite. Can anyone help?

My friend is having a birthday party for her son. I want to make cupcakes with green kryptonite crystals on them. How do i make the crystals.

boil 3 cups of sugar and 3 cups of water..then bring down to a simmer…if you have a candy thermomater cook to the hard crack stage..if you dont keep checking by putting drops of liquid in cold water until it comes out hard..this is what is know as hard tack add what ever flavoring and color and you have hard tack candy pour on a greased dish…as it hardens keep picking it up and get crystal formation the let harden and hit and crack in differnt places to you get it the way you want it…
